Dr. Plausinis graduated from the Queen's University of Kingston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1992; He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1994; He graduated with a Medical Doctorate from the University of Toronto in 1998; He obtained his FRCSC in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of British Columbia in 2003 and completed a further fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at New York University Langone Medical Center and the Hospital for Joint Diseases (HJD) in New York in 2004. Since that time Dr. Plausinis has been in active community practice in Kamloops at Royal Inland Hospital and the Kamloops Surgical Centre. His special interest is shoulder and elbow surgery.
Dr. Plausinis served as president of BC Orthopaedic Association 2008-2010.
